Another trip out leading to another swordfish capture aboard our 5.8m Backwater 'Westie1'

This 5.8m hull has been a proven bluewater boat for us. Originally designed for beach launching and towing to destinations around the country. This Westie hull has been a well respected small bluewater boat, which has caught its fear share of respected anglers first game fish.

Swordfish aboard our 5.8m Westie1

Jed and Dan both have said the set up of Furuno New Zealand electronics was key to catching this fish. Marking the Bait and fish at 20knots made for a quick day out on the water.

Westie1 has the latest Furuno 2kw transducers running through a dff3 to a TZT2. All fitted with custom fairing boxes made and installed by Backwater marine.
