Staff Spotlight, Willy Neilson. Willy grew up in the sunny region of Hawke’s Bay. He has a family background in aviation going back generations so it's not surprising he learnt to fly a Tiger Moth at 10 years old. Willy gained his Private Pilot License at the minimum legal age of 16. Just after graduating from school at 18, his Commercial Pilot License followed. Willy then spent his OE on a family farm in the United Kingdom before getting into aviation full time. Willy has over 20 years of commercial flying experience and has flown a wide range of aircrafts both domestically and internationally. Willy has been with Jet Charters New Zealand for more then 10 years and has been an asset to our team since day one. Outside of work, Willy loves spending time with his young family and playing golf badly, according to Willy ⛳️
