In New Zealand, we like to think we speak English… but visitors may have a hard time agreeing! 😆

For our Tuesday Tour Tip, here are a few classic Kiwi slang words to help you when you touch down in Middle Earth:

👉 Yeah-Nah: The ultimate Kiwi way of saying “no… but thanks anyway.”

👉 Jandals: What others call flip-flops or thongs (looking at you Aussie's!). Essential summer gear!

👉 Togs: Your swimwear. Don’t forget these for our beach stops!

👉 Sweet As: A combo of no worries, sounds good, that's cool e.g. “I’ll just grab my togs and we can go for a swim?” “Sweet as.”

👉 Kiwi: An NZ local, the national bird, or the fruit. Confusing? Nah, you’ll get the hang of it.
