📍Lake Angelus Hut, Nelson Lakes
The Angelus Hut is located at an elevation of approximately 1,650 meters (5,413 feet) above sea level. It is a backcountry hut maintained by the Department of Conservation (DOC) and provides accommodation for hikers exploring the area.
To reach the Angelus Hut, there are several hiking routes you can take. One common route is the Robert Ridge Track, which starts from the Mount Robert Car Park near St Arnaud. The track offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and lakes as you make your way towards the hut.
