Dress Code
For our regular entrants you know the drill! 😀
For the newbies & our esteemed guests from near & afar here are the guidelines.
Not essential to dress up, but if you want to immerse yourself in the atmosphere then it's bit of fun, as many dress up throughout the event.

There are many vendors selling retro clothing at the stadium throughout the event at the Retro-O-Rama Retro & Vintage Markets stands.
They will have retro dresses, skirts & tops, Hawaiian shirts, red white & blue stars & stripes tops, petticoats, pin stripe shirts, miss match shoes, lacy socks, retro handbags, accessories, jewellery & much more!

As the weeks fly by under Supercheap Auto Americarna 2025, our plans are well in hand to deliver another great event to those attending.

We have Colin and Debbie’s BBQ Truck which Americarna will provide the food for, and the Hospice will man and sell for a gold coin fundraiser.

Each registered driver returning from Opunāke will receive a complimentary drinks voucher for the welcome function.

The Supercheap Auto fan/entrant zone will look awesome, this is a great opportunity to discuss with the Supercheap team what they have to offer. Plus an area to relax on the bean bags out of the sun.

Roy Brizio will be there to answer any questions you have around U.S.A. hot rodding and car building. He is a wealth of knowledge so make sure you do catch up with him and our other international guests.

Our band for the farewell function on Saturday night, The Monroe’s https://m.facebook.com/monroesnz/, played at a New Year’s Eve function at the New Plymouth Club that Jo attended. She reported that they were amazing, and the lead singer Nikki interacted with the crowd & the dance floor was full. We are all very excited that we will have a great night with them playing. The Munroes will also be playing in Inglewood on Thursday afternoon/night.

Fletch is back again from Australia to film two more episodes for his popular TV Show so don’t be shy if he approaches you!

Also attending for the first time is automotive photographer and videographer, Jesse Fox from 3G Video LLC in the U.S.A. They are heavily involved in the drag and drive scene in North America, and this year are travelling to New Zealand with one of their stops being Americarna.

So all in all, lining up to be a great event! We are very excited for all the new elements we have this year.

We still have room for you to register, it seems more people are entering later. Currently we are just on 600 cars, so room for easy another 100. We are very pleased to announce another exciting addition to the 2025 event. Supercheap Auto Americarna 2025 will now have a static American truck display at Americarnival on Saturday 22nd February in the CBD. Egmont Street will see a range of Kenworth’s along with a number of classic Americarna trucks lined up on display for everyone to take a look, get a photo and chat to the owners.

Enthusiasts and movie buffs alike will be treated to a nostalgic blast from the past with Smokey and the Bandit https://www.facebook.com/thebanditnz?mibextid=ZbWKwL are locked in to attend the 2025 Supercheap Auto Americarna Event. From a childhood dream, Charlie Bailey brought a 1985 W925 Kenworth in from Melbourne after developing a passion from spending his childhood riding shotgun with his dad, driving Kenworth’s up and down New Zealand. Mid 2023 the truck was brought from Australia and imported back to NZ to start the wild dream of re-creating the “Smokey and the Bandit Truck &Trailer”. Don’t miss the opportunity to come and check out this rig in person. It will be out on the cruise routes with us and then at the static American truck display on Saturday in Egmont St.

Just a reminder that our early bird registration fee of $275 finished on the 31st of December, and after that the registration fee becomes $315. So, make sure to register before then - https://americarna.com/event/event-registration/

Please note that the Americarna office will be closed from 2:00pm December 24th and will reopen on January 6th. So best to get any of your queries in now.

We have had many accommodation providers in NP approach us with space still available. We are unable to post individual requests but please feel free to post your space in the comments.

Also a reminder that the early bird registration fee for $275 finishes on the 31st Dec then it goes up to $315, so get your registrations in now.

Calling for Food & Merchandise Vendors for Americarna 19th to 22nd Feb 2025

We are finalizing vendor positioning & checking if there are others that would like to attend?
You could set up at the stadium for the duration of the event and/or for the street parade on Saturday the 22nd Feb 2025

We are specifically looking for coffee caravans & food vendors outside the TSB Stadium at the Registration Centre for the approx 800 entrants for the following times;

Tuesday 18th Feb 2025
1 coffee cart 12pm to 6pm
Wednesday 19th Feb
1 coffee cart 8am to 11am & 3pm to 5pm
Thursday 20th Feb
2 coffee carts 8am to 12pm
Friday 21st Feb
2 coffee carts & 2 food vendors making bacon & egg sandwiches etc
7.30am to 10.30am

It is estimated between 300 to 600 entrants will purchase a quick breakfast & coffee before hitting the road

With regards to the Supercheap Auto Americarna 2025 Acceleration Display, I can confirm that the owner Sam Jiggins of Trafficr Limited (who manages all our road closures and traffic management) is now providing trophies for the first time in each category.
Trafficr are also a major sponsor & cover over 50% of the cost of traffic management, road closure & event equipment etc, which we are very grateful for

We have a total of 51 cars registered for the acceleration display so far, which is typically a few more than what has been allowed - up until now

Given the team running the display are so well organized, we are looking for up to five more pre-1950, up to eight more 1981-2000 and four more 2001 and above

The fastest in each category will not only receive Trafficr’s trophy but also a $50 Supercheap Auto voucher and $50 Z voucher

So, let’s boost the numbers and provide even more entertainment to the public
