We’re huge fans of the legendary Okere Falls Store, just outside of Rotorua and they have been huge supporters of ours to boot so we’re stoked to be joining them for an amazing night of wine and food as they get their tasting program up and running again! While these have been out for a little while we forgot to feature them over here so y’all can see what we’re up to! These our our three 2023 bottlings, all from Bridge Pa in Hawkes Bay and picked in the wake of Cyclone Gabrielle. Packed full of flavour (and lower in alcohol) we think they are beautiful, pure, focused expressions of a truly devastating vintage (which saw our friends’ and long-term suppliers Petane Station vineyards destroyed).

First we have the Chardonnay - a testament to our less-is-more philosophy. Pure, fresh, focused and packed with energy and m green apple and lemon / lime Chardonnay intensity!

Then we have our Syrah Rosé which is bone dry with a hint of Syrah spice, lovely fruit weight (despite being only 10.5% ABV) and a slight crackle! This is a complex, terroir-driven rosé!

And finally we have our Syrah, medium weight and packed with earthy spice, red fruit and just a hint of dirtiness!

Lots of you all have been asking what to expect from our Wine Car Boot Market on Saturday 3 August! Here goes: entry to the market including entertainment, free tastings of over 30 wines, a stemless wine glass to take home and a $10 voucher which can be used for take away wine at House Wine!

For entertainment we have Che Rogers dj-ing from 1-4 and for food we have the amazing Chur Chicken and some delicious bites from House Wine!

As for wineries and producers we have Cambridge Road Vineyard, Cult Wine, Known Unknown Wine, Responsible Hedonist Wines, Wine Bunch, Wrights Vineyard & Winery and more...

We have some amazing events coming up in August!

First off we have our Wine Car Boot Market on Saturday 3 August which is $40 per person and includes tastings of 30 wines and a $10 wine voucher!

Then on Wednesday 21 and Thursday 22 August we’re hosting Wine and Cheese: Raclette and Alpine Wine, an amazing wine and food experience featuring alpine wines from France and Italy and including a meal of traditionally grilled raclette, all the accompaniments and a finale of Vin Jaune and 30 month old Comte. This is $65 per persons and we have seatings at 6pm, 7pm and 8pm each night. DM or email if you’d like to bring a group!
