The announcement we’ve been waiting for – no more isolation for vaccinated Kiwis and eligible travellers from Wednesday 11:59pm if coming back from Australia and Friday 11:59pm if returning from the rest of the world! No more MIQ queue, no more worry you might not be able to return from that long awaited holiday, and no more delay finally seeing your loved ones coming back!

The dates are confirmed and managed quarantine can soon be avoided!
From 28th February fully vaccinated Kiwis and permanent residents can come into New Zealand from Australia with just home isolation, and from 13th March they can come home from anywhere else!
For those of you with non New Zealand friends, family and loved ones, they can start coming in from July (for certain passport holders). NZ will fully open to all those who are fully vaccinated from other countries from October - maybe even sooner!

There are still rules and regulations to follow wherever and whenever we travel, so get in touch to let me guide you through - for that long awaited holiday, the trip to see family overseas, or even better, that long awaited welcome home!!

How about the news in the week? Quarantine free travel is coming back in 7 weeks time! From 17th January, double vaccinated New Zealanders and Residence holders can return from Australia, and from 14th February return from other countries (apart from the few classified as high risk). Negative tests and home isolation will be required, but no more booking MIQ!

Time to start planning. Where will you be heading first?

Hope we're all hanging in there! Things have been pretty quiet on the home front since we went back into lockdown in August. I have been ticking away in the background, helping people with essential travel as knowing what the current requirements are for airlines and countries is a daunting prospect for many - as is joining everyone in those long (long!) queues for MIQ spaces on behalf of clients.

Nine years ago I was in Peru at Machu Picchu, just relaxing with the locals. It's photo memories like these that keep me passionate about what I do and remind me what we're all working towards.

It's time for a winter break!

There's something magical about fresh winter air and fun in the snow!

Queenstown and surrounds have so much to offer to everyone of all ages. You can pack a lot of fun and adventure into just a few days, or take your time and cruise, it's a beautiful place to relax.

After just over a year we can now go to Australia and return to New Zealand quarantine free! There are plenty of flights available, so if you are missing the shopping in Melbourne, the open skies of Alice Springs, or the amazing Queensland beaches, give me a shout and let's get over there!

With four days until quarantine-free travel starts between New Zealand and Australia, we've certainly had a few more enquiries than over the last few months!

Brisbane and Sydney are proving the most popular destinations so far - waiting with bated breath for announcement on the Cook Islands travel next!

Another photo from the personal vault - outdoor cooking freshwater crays (yabbies) after a morning fishing near Murrabit, Northern Victoria. There's lots to see and do along the Murray River!

As expected, things have picked up this week, a few bookings made with people making the most of reasonable flight prices. Lots of excitement! With my own family on the other side of the world, being able to share that excitement with others certainly makes my day!
