Our Story

Kia ora, we are Antoinette & Leonard Naera. We are everyday kiwis who have left the city and corporate life and moved to the country to pursue our dream of meeting new people from all over the country and the rest of the world and to share with you, the amazing history of the Hokianga. Briefly, according to oral history, Kupe was Aotearoa’s first inhabitant, landing at Te Pouahi, the first bay on the northern side of the Hokianga, around 925 AD. We want to introduce you to our culture, whilst providing an exciting array of adventures such as Jet Skiing and other epic water sports. We want you to experience the gathering of some kai moana (seafood) and cook it on an open fire, like my ancestors have done for hundreds of years. We have 2 objectives here at AAH, that is, to ensure all of our customers: 1. Stay safe 2.
