Orca -maki
A crew favorite! we have small population of less than 200 orca that call New Zealand home, we see them on our cruises when orca visit the Bay of Islands in pods of 2 – 15 animals on average. Orca visit the bay around every 6-8 weeks.
In New Zealand orca are classified as Nationally Critical, which is why we always go slow and stay at least 50m away.
