Kia Ora riders, please take a minute to quickly read:

We love getting out there for some laps in the shuttles as much as you do!...But we also have everyone's Health and Wellbeing as our main priority. Unless you live under a rock, you will realise the the effects COVID-19 are currently being felt globally, and serious measures do need to be implemented by all who can to ensure we do our best to reduce the impact.

Sadly, this means that we will not be running the shuttles for the next few weekends at least, it's not the best form of 'social distancing' to be sitting in a bus or van together with riders from other regional areas or countries. We will of course continue to monitor the situation very carefully and be back to providing shuttle uplifts as soon as possible, hopefully by the School Holidays and Easter. We'll keep you informed of everything however, so keep an eye on this page for updated Shuttle Information. All shuttle passes purchased from us already are valid for a year so we can be a wee bit flexible on this.

We are currently still be open daily at PaihiaMTB for Bike Hire with our Hardtail, Full Suspension and Electric bikes! We're continuing to ensure our workplace, bikes, handlebars and helmets are clean too and adhering to best practices. If you still want a bit of assistance up the hill, then I can only HIGHLY recommend giving our e-bikes a whirl (its like your own private shuttle), put some of the $$ you may have spent on shuttles into giving these a spin- you definitely won't regret it, flick us a line to book however, as they are in limited numbers.

'Social Distancing' is a good excuse to turn on the leg power drop your mates halfway up Taane's climb though....watch out!!!

In times of hardship and stress, getting outdoors is paramount to clearing your head and enjoying yourself. Bring your own bike or hire one of ours, doesn't matter which- either way just get out there and enjoy the Waitangi Mountain Bike Park, the views, the fresh air, the exercise and the nature- the tracks aren't going anywhere!!!!

Tomorrow Friday 6th March we have the Le Laperouse visiting the Bay of Islands. Her visit is a "specialty cruise" with the majority of the passengers going up to Kauri Cliffs to play golf on both days (Friday and Saturday).

The coaches for the golfers will be loading at Waitangi Pier and returning there each day. The balance of the passengers, which we are expecting to be only a handful and crew, will be coming ashore to Waitangi Pier and a shuttle bus will run them into Paihia for both days.

This vessel will be anchored in the Bay overnight and on Friday evening the ship will tender into Russell Pier for the full evening.

There will be no special setup at the Maritime carpark for her visit.

What keeps this incredible human coming back on the boat?⚓

This is one of our awesome teammates, Sam. 😍 This will be Sam’s second year on the Rock, so we asked her what it is that she loves so much about working (and playing) on the boat.

Here’s what she said, 👇
“During the summer I love being outside in the sun and that I get to call playing volleyball on the beach with our guests work!”

Sam is always up for a bit of cheeky fun, so get to know her during your time on the Rock. 🤪She’ll always make it that much more fun!

Share your favourite memories of Sam in the comments!
