Hello from Lima, Peru! We will start our experience with a visit to my favorite market where we will talk with my favorite vendors about the amazing variety of seasonal and local ingredients, and we will buy our ingredients for our class! You will have a complete menu of the best dishes of Lima. Then we will head to my parents’ beautiful pottery studio. Jallpa Nina is located 45 minutes south of Lima, in the Lurin Valley. First, my artist mom, Marilyn, will show through the studio explaining all the process of this ancient and important art in Peru. Jallpanina’s ceramics are renowned internationally and are 100 % handmade. After the tour of the studio, we will enjoy some traditional “piqueos” and refreshments served in the beautiful garden and patio. Then we will head to my apartment in Barranco for our private cooking class and we will enjoy our lunch with a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean. In our class, I will teach you a complete local menu with the best Lima´s classic recipes specific and essential techniques as well as the use of local and seasonal ingredients. Our gourmet feast with start with a taste of the traditional and local Lima´s appetizers that we have cooked and then we will have our lunch with the beautiful view of Lima’s Bay. After lunch, we will walk around my barrio, the artist and cool Barranco, which is a great place to walk around, admiring the beautiful Republican Mansions, walking to the traditional part of Barranco like Puente de los Suspiros and its plaza and we will finish with a great organic coffee or tea at some of the great local cafeterias.

Jocelyn and Chris have been great supporters of TakeMe2TheWorld. They were our very first guests to India, when we started the business 10 years ago. When we expanded to Latin America for the first time, they were our first guests again. They are keeping up with that record and went to Jordan, Israel and Morocco with us this month. In Jocelyn's own words, "it has been another TakeMe2TheWorld awesome experience!!!!". Thank you family, for trusting us with new destinations. We can't wait to send you on another adventure soon 😊

Last week, our New Zealand B2B Inbound Tour Operator business was commissioned by Tourism New Zealand to organise a special day experience in Auckland for well known cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle. We took him to Waiheke Island by Fullers360 - Experiences & Cruises. Harsha was given a luxury private sailing by TerraandTide, with a beautiful spread of lunch, followed by wine tasting at Mudbrick Vineyard & Restaurant. We then flew him on Heletranz Helicopters, New Zealand, landing inside Auckland Stadium,Eden Park NZ. He was met by the CEO of Eden Park and was given a tour. A little bit of indulgence at Giapo, which swept him off his feet with a variety of their creations - a feast for the eyes and taste! Harsha rounded off the day with a sumptuous dinner at 1947 eatery. We had the lovely Tania from Yournzdriver chauffeuring Harsha on a Mercedes Benz S350 through the day. What a fabulous day it turned out to be!

During our travels, we always meet beautiful humans. On our recent trip to Picton on Interislander () ferry, we saw this heartwarming interaction between little Daniel and Aaron, the security on duty. Daniel had a lot of questions for Aaron, who answered patiently. Their interaction had a lot of laughters and high fives. Aaron even bought Daniel a map of the ferry route!

Mum Diane describes 12-year old Daniel as a regular chatterbox, junior engineer, loves farming, knows how to back a trailer using only mirrors and does adaptive skiing.

Nats gave a guest lecture this morning to the Tourism students at IPU New Zealand. When the world comes back to normal and travel resumes, the industry will need skills. It is important to prepare the next generation workforce with real life industry knowledge. Nats explained to them how Tourism distribution channel works and how various stakeholders fit into it. He also spoke about how Covid-19 has impacted the layers of the industry and what the way forward looks like. The students had engaging interaction with him.
