The cottage has been full over these summer months. All visitors have been taken to see the glowworms.[ and native koura] and one lot .were able to sit on their deck, and listen to the concert our son put on for the street and Bay. The kayaks and canoe have been popular as have the bushwalks.

Our guests got a great shot of The Spirit Of New Zealand in the bay on the weekend. The fishing is starting to hot up and its ok for swimming now. The kayaks have been a hit with the kids and adults

Booked out for the whole of Easter. Weve been booked every weekend since November, excepting those weekends that we blocked it out for our own use. Such an improvement on last summer!

Our guests out in the kayaks have found the Moetapu Bay secret. A heron raising a baby in the back of one of the launches moored in the bay

The sea water temperature at Moetapu Bay by Fernbrook is 25.6 degrees today. Checked with the launch depth sounder and confirmed with the IR thermometer. Just great for swimming and kayaking

Awesome Labour Weekend was had by the people in the cottage. Mussels and oysters gathered locally and taken home to cook up
