Who says it's too cold to go fishing in winter! Not us, and not this amazing family who joined us for a fishing charter last month, and even managed to catch some blue cod for dinner. Bonus!

It may be cold outside, but we're already half-way through the year, and the festive period will be upon us before we know it! If you're planning on travelling to/through Marlborough during the summer holidays, and want to make the most of your time in our special part of the world, take a look at our full-day Scenic and Wine Tours.

This tour will take you through the Marlborough Sounds along the scenic Queen Charlotte Drive so you can soak up the stunning views along the way. We love Forrest Wines cosy cellar door - such a pleasant spot to visit during the quieter, cooler months in Marlborough.

Our cellar door is the perfect spot to warm up by the fire and enjoy some delicious wine when it's so miserable outside.

"We showed up at Forrest completely soaked from our bike ride, and the team took such good care of us! They hung up our jackets to dry, seated us by the fireplace, and brought out a tasting tray. Amazing wines and fantastic info to go with them. We're already excited for our next visit!"

Had to share, because we love Framingham Wines and who doesn't love a beautiful sticky sweet! (Especially with blue cheese) Yes Please!

Love seeing their beautiful wines recognised in this way.

🥇 Noble Riesling…it speaks for itself! This incredible late harvest Riesling is extremely concentrated and viscous. Leaving grapes out to succumb to natural botrytis (Noble Rot) is risky, but we reckon we’ve managed to pull it off by selecting our parcels “little and often”.

awarded it 95/100 and described it as “big, syrupy and concentrated dessert Riesling in a beerenauslese style with honey, honeycomb and exotic tropical fruit flavours supported by assertive natural acidity. Very strong botrytis influence”.

Noble is your perfect wine to enjoy by the fire this Winter. We’ve only got a few bottles left in stock so hurry, you don’t want to miss out!

The end of vintage heralds a change in the season in Marlborough. Days are shorter, nights are cooler and the leaves in the vineyard light up the landscape with an array of autumnal splendor.

Had to share this beauty of a photo from Bladen Wines: "The 2024 vintage has concluded, and all our grapes are safely gathered in the winery. Now, as our vines return to dormancy for the winter, we are treated to the spectacle of autumnal colors. Among them, this beauty. Far more vibrant than the rest!"

And with that, the 2024 vintage season has come to an end. The last of our Saint Clair fruit has been harvested and delivered to the winery for processing
