The creator of these new flyers is the newest member to the team at 16 years old. Being a whanau orientated business she is the daughter of our directors and what an awesome chance she has had to showcase her skills ❤️ showing she is an asset to the Team 👌
It has been a busy start to the year for the team. Feels like we just had christmas and boom it's April 🙈. Santa dropped a brand new 13T Digger off to Borman Rd for us at the start of the year so we must have been good bu**ers aye 🤣.

The Team have completed another epic Equestrian Arena in the Waikato. Our customer is over the moon with how it has turned out. There will be a lot of happy horses and riders enjoying this new and improved Arena surface. We used our new Auto Laser Level which trimmed this Arena to perfection.

Finished school and have a interest in Machinery or Trucks?
We have an oppurtunity available for the right person to join our team. We have a shortage in the earthmoving sector for young people to learn how to operate machinery. We are fortunate to have the top Bobcat & Digger operators within our team. The right person will learn skills from our top operators. Learning from the start of jobs right through to the end of all processes. The right person will need to be fit and not scared of a little hard mahi as learning from the start will include labour at times. A willingness to learn, here is a chance to soak in all that the team teach you. The goal of this position is over time to get the right person trained and in time into their own machine and Join our team of skilled operators. Car license will be a bonus as the goal in time for the right person will be to get them their Class 2 to enable them to cart their own machine around in time! You will be put through a course to gain your Wheels, Track & Roller endorsements.
This role will be part time to start, dependant on how well they go this role can then increase to full time work. Starting on Minimum wage, your role will be reviewed and pay will be increased dependant on your willingness to learn and increased skills.
We are located in Pirongia, the right person will need to get themselves to the yard on their own vehicle.

The Faces to the Name 🙈
On September the 1st 2022 will mark 5 years for DR Earthworks. We thought maybe its time to put a face to the name and share our story of who and why DR Earthworks was started. This photo was taken a few months after DR Earthworks was started.
We are Dean & Brenda, parents to two beautiful girls, just like every family we faced our challenges to support and provide for our wee little family. Times were hard for us and this is where the decision was made to start DR Earthworks. To provide support for our family and ultimately put food on our table.
On September 1st 2017 we registered DR Earthworks as a Limited Company. DR is short for Dean Rameka, we aren't the most creative humans so DR seemed like the most ideal name. We scrapped the barrel and invested every single dollar we had into buying our first truck. 9 days later we delivered our youngest child on the 10th of September at the Waikato hospital. Desperate to make an income and put food on our table, two days after the birth of our daughter on the 12th of September 2017 Dean went to work.
We hired a Bobcat a few weeks later with the support of our friends, family and clients Dean had dealt with over his 15 years in the industry we slowly got work in and before long we were off with a hiss and a roar. Two months in and the workload was too big for Dean so this was when we made the decision to buy another truck and hire a driver. In November 2017 we hired our first employee.
The business was growing, the workload was growing and this then was the influence to grow DR Earthworks again and add in a second Bobcat and truck. In our third and fourth year the workload kept growing so we made the decision to grow the business more. We now have x3 Bobcats, x1 Digger, x5 Trucks, x1 Roller. The office work grew so the office staff grew from just Brenda to 2 extra roles.
From 2017 - 2022 we have grown from just us to support to now a family of 8 employees with a total of 22 to take care of. As we include our employees and their families. We don't just hire the employee's we hire their whole families as every decision we make impacts them as a whole. We are a pretty tight knit crew here at DR and we wouldn't have it anyother way.
We are extremely proud of where we are today and how far DR Earthworks has grown but we would not be where we are today without the support of our family, friends, clients and our employees. At the end of the day we are a wee little family trying to make a living and in the process we have gained a huge family with possibilities we never imagined.
Kim had help today 🤣 This cat is mischief, there have been a few times Dean has caught him asleep on the gear. Iv watched him jump off at the gate a few times too. So if you see this cat jump off the gear on a site. You know who he belongs to 🤣
There is nothing more satisfying after your new build to have the outside looking this good ready for your new lawn 😍. We get it 😅 unless you literally move dirt for a living the feeling may not be the same for you 🤣. Here is the new addition to the DR family 😁 We have been a little too busy to get her tattooed the last few months. Shes all done, best news is the person behind the wheel. The newest addition to the DR family is Clive. If you see him out & about give him a wave. He's a good bu**er and we are fortunate to have him join the team. Enjoy the long weekend 🍻

She is amazing and has been working hard to raise funds for families in need in the waikato. Everything they do is to pass on to families in need. So the next time your in cambridge check them out.
They are located on the Corner of Queen & Bryce St Cambridge at the Union Parish Centre. Open Thurs-Sat 10am-2pm. Drop off all your second hand goodies you have at home, have a look in their shop and support this amazing op shop. They rely on donations, this is a non profit shop so they are literally working for free to raise funds to give to others. Amazing!.
