Good luck South Canterbury- this brings back memories of ex cyclone Gita damage in the Tasman District and the financial, physical and emotional damage that had on our residents. By this afternoon had received 113mls - enough for me thanks - the rain can stop now!

Thank goodness the rain has stopped at last - let's hope it stays that way! 116mils overnight and til 5pm today and heaps more since. If my kayak wasn't half full of water it would have floated down the drive....
