Aaahhh, I can never tire of this beauty, it’s what gets us through winter, knowing we will be coming back to it in October! On that note, it’s a wrap for the season for Abel Tasman Eco Tours, we’ve had a brilliant season, meet some amazing people and we couldn’t do it without our fabulous staff, thanks team! Thanks for all the support, we look forward to taking you all out next season. We open back up on the 1st of October. For the winter you will find us at our new cafe in Nelson, , come say hi. Thanks again and see you in October. 😊

Kia ora, we are back in operation! Our boat has had a make-over in the winter, thanks to the fabulous team for making the outside of the boat look sharp and the great team at Mortimer for the nice comfy new upholstery. We are out on the water today and we are excited for the upcoming season, roll on summer!

Check out these stunning photos taken by Diane on our last tour of the season, the rare Brown teal/pāteke, the beautiful clear water of falls river and the beach sculptures of Mosquito bay. We wanted to say a huge thank you for all those who have come out on tour with us, we have loved showing you this beautiful part of the country, thanks for supporting our small business. And thanks to the team at Abel Tasman Eco Tours, we appreciate the work you have done this season. We are now off planting natives and restoring our slip damaged land, we will be back in the spring, see you then. 😊

Picnics on the beach can happen in winter! Even with all the rain we have experienced this winter, the sun came out last week at the right time! Such a beautiful spot for a mid winter picnic! The Abel Tasman National Park is stunning all year round!

Our small team are taking a break for the rest of June, we will be back out on the water from the 1st of July. We’ve had a great year so far, we’ve loved taking our customers’ out to experience and explore the Abel Tasman and all that it has to offer. What a great start to the New Year, beaut summer weather and what better place to go than soak it all up in the Abel Tasman National Park! Lunch away from the crowds on some of the best golden sand beaches. Our tours are fully inclusive of morning tea and lunch so all you need to do is take yourself for a hassle free tour of the National Park!

Caspian Tern or tarā nui is nationally vulnerable and remains uncommon in New Zealand, with around 1300-1400 breeding pairs estimated. So when we saw this pair the other week, it was pretty special and what a stunning backdrop (second image).
