Mauritius has turned out to be a great stop on the way to Madagascar. Though we highly recommend a rental car. We wouldn’t see half as much if we’d relied on public transportation and taxis.

If you’re like many people, you will have heard things about the city of Lima, that don’t show it in the best light. However this incredible Peruvian city, has had a huge makeover.
There’s been a lot of investment in infrastructure, the city is vibrant, fun, and has some of the best cuisine in South America. From Michelin starred restaurants with the most incredibly affordable degustation menus. To a range of street food that would take days to taste your way through the variety. 
Lima really has it all, and it’s worth spending a bit of extra time there, rather than just one night at the beginning or end of of your Peruvian tour.

The Alps Tour surpassed my expectations. It was my first time doing such a walking tour and i was both stretched at times and able to do everything. I loved the fact that all the transport and activities were included and using public transport was great and easy. The scenery was spectacular, the walking enjoyable and varied and Silvana's local knowledge was invaluable. i highly recommend this tour and Silvana as your guide. - Ingrid Waugh

The European Alps offer wonderful opportunities to enjoy both short and longer walks. With the help of an experienced tour leader, it is possible to ride many cable cars and gondolas to access great walks and eliminate a lot of uphill climbing. Local knowledge helps determine the right walk for the weather conditions and the ability of group members. We had a wonderful active holiday in a very scenic part of Europe and would highly recommend this trip. - Kate Prebble

The beautiful Stubai Valley runs all the way to Innsbruck , and we stay in Neustift only 23 km from the city. But it’s a completely different world full of glaciers, roaring creeks, and spectacular waterfalls. This is our last walking stop before we head to Vienna for the final night of our trip. Where always have dinner at a beautiful local beer garden under the chestnut trees.

What a great way to end a spectacular hiking trip full of variety, beautiful scenery, delicious food and great company.

This is our longest and also what we think is the most spectacular hike where we stayin the Dolomites. We take a cable car up to a mountain pass, and then hike around a high Alpine Plateau and back down to our village.

It’s a total of 17 km, but on our hike we saw a dachshund doing the same walk! He must’ve done about 4 million steps and was still raring to go at the end of it!

Silvana’s favourite place in Europe! The mind blowing Dolomites of Val Gardena. We love it so much that we’ve added an extra night and now stay 5 nights to explore more of the area. 🏔️

So handy to be able to stay in one place for a while and get out on stunning day hikes. We use lots of cable cars to get us up to the trail start point. Saves time and gets us to the best scenery quickly. 🚠

In the European alps, we took the road less travelled. High above Trento on Montebondone we hiked through flower filled meadows to Monte Cornetto. The indoor pool at Hotel Montana was great to relax in after our hike.

The incredible Amazon Rainforest, is our last stop on the South American Sojourn before heading to Lima.

We always take care when planning our itineraries, to try and give our travellers a time to rest and recuperate. This is especially important after spending so much time at high altitude.

The Amazon is a haven of tranquility, wildlife, and getting in touch with nature. It helps revive and rejuvenate the soul of tired travellers and is a fabulous end to a journey that started in Rio de Janeiro.

Our South American Sojourn group enjoyed some huge highlights recently. Machu Picchu, the Sacred Valley of the Incas and the Amazon. Though an unexpected cold front came through. So the usually steamy rainforest was pretty chilly for the first day!

We left the dodgy weather behind in Switzerland, and headed to the beautiful Chinque Terre Coast. The views were stunning, the food was incredible, and who can resist a bit of cappuccino foam art.😂

Meanwhile, on our European alps trip, we were extremely lucky to get to Zerat. There had been torrential rain and the rail line has been disrupted and closed. Luckily, we managed to get a break in the weather, as after our visit there were more severe thunderstorms and flooding in the village.

However our hikes over the two days there were absolutely stunning and we even got a clear view of the Matterhorn😊

Arequipa is one of the most beautiful cities in Peru. Surrounded by volcanoes, with lots to explore like the Santa Catalina monastery and wandering through the beautiful Plaza de Armas.

Gorgeous Grindelwald never disappoints. The late and extreme snowmelt made for an impressive glacier Gorge visit.

Then just when we thought we would have no views at all, the skies cleared on top of the Jungfraujoch and we had the most incredible views on an otherwise rainy day!! How lucky are we!
