Hi everyone,

A sad post but one I must share with you all, due to COVID-19, and it’s resulting international border restrictions, there has been a fairly large impact on the travel industry. I have decided to close down my business as an independent travel broker as a result.

It’s been an amazing journey working over 10 years in travel, I am devastated to be saying goodbye, for now, to an industry that I have loved so much. Saying goodbye to my incredible customer base is equally hard. All my clients are what has brought me so much joy and been my reason to want to stay and hold out for so long, however sadly travel is just not picking up they way we had all hoped.

If you have an upcoming booking, credit held with me, or you’re awaiting a refund, do not worry - these remain secure and will now be looked after by Flight Centre Pukekohe. You should have received an email from me, if not please reach out.

Thank you all for waiting so patiently on your refunds!

Just to update you, our cruise refunds are taking a VERY long time to come back to us. Agents are pushing to get these through as fast as possible, however we are up against hundreds of thousands of cancellations

Please hang in there and know you have not been forgotten!

Thanks to everyone for your patience and support, I really appreciate your kind messages you have sent me lately ! The travel industry is certainly done it tough these last few months.

There is a massive back log on allot of suppliers processing your refunds, so please bare with them in getting your money back to you. Some suppliers are taking 12 weeks or longer. I am checking my account daily and as soon as I have any refunds come through I will be in contact with each of you.

School is back this week, so I should be able to make some more progress on your rebookings/ credit transfers and refunds.

OTAGO RAIL TRAIL
For those of you asking which company we used, we were looked after by Trail Journeys and they were excellent!

They took care of
* Planning and recommendations
* Bike Hire
* Expert local Advice
* Bag, passenger and bike transfer services

They are the largest and longest serving provider in Otago on the trail and have their depot right on the trail start/ finish in Clyde. The staff were lovely and so helpful, especially after we had a puncture and a wrong turn, they were only a phone call away.

The trail is also great for families and I have included some bike options in the images below to show you how they can accommodate little ones 👨‍👩‍👧‍👧👨‍👩‍👧‍👧

OTAGO RAIL TRAIL DAY 3

WEDDERBURN TO HYDE 46 KM

We stayed at the lovely Wedderburn cottages, right on the trail and had dinner at the iconic Wedderburn tavern. The views were incredible and the sunrise amazing!

The trail has been full of surprises, the most amazing food, quaint villages and wonderful hospitality

We tried our hand out at the world famous Curling in Naseby, which was so much fun! A must do if you are down this way! We loved hearing the stories about how the town is on edge waiting for the first lake to freeze so they can start their curling fun. Apparently the last few years have been to mild and not cold enough to do this outside. Perhaps this year?!

OTAGO RAIL TRAIL DAY 2

Ophir to Wedderburn : 44 Kms

Had a beautiful day today on the trail, stunning changing scenery, lots of rail bridges to cross and reached the highest point on the trail, so all downhill from here 😊

E bikes are amazing! I've upgraded my one lol since having a bit of a fall and is the best boost to assist your riding. The great thing is you can turn them off or have the on low/med/high and really helps you through some of those long stretches, or when you want to reach your end point quicker.

OTAGO RAIL TRAIL :NIGHT 2

Spent the night at the beautiful Pitches store in Ophir, once an old shop and butchery. So much history dating back to the 1800's

Ophir clocks up the hottest and coldest temperatures for any town in NZ, a range of 60 degrees.

If you are after a stop with some luxury, the Pitches store is a must do!

1st day riding the Otago Rail Trail ! We rode Clyde to Ophir today, took a wrong turn and did the river trail ( well worth it! ) so cycled about 50 kms today 😅 exhausted, but about to head out for a lovely dinner!
