Great cafe in Arrowtown - have you been?

We’ve been a little quiet on here the past couple of months. There’s been a lot of sleepless night, 12pm McDonald’s dinners and tears but it has all been worth it. We are so excited to share with you! Named after the 1862 Arrowtown Gold Rush, Goldie is a sunny space for everyone to come together and enjoy our locally roasted coffee. Our food menu is seasonal, fresh and as local as we can keep it. When you’re next in the area we’d love to see you! 💛⚡️

..🌡👉 Good morning Otago, it is a very tight race right now for the likes of Alexandra, Arrowtown and Clyde who only have a difference of decimal point but it is Alexandra who is our coldest area with -3.4°C..😬 Arrowtown comes up second with -3.3°C followed by Clyde with -3.2°C..😯 Meanwhile on the other side of the temperature spectrum it’s Dunedin’s city centre who is our warmest spot with 6.7°C although it’s airport is currently 0.0°C..😬

Arrowtown has so many descriptions...a historic gold mining town, a hidden gem, charming, quirky, picturesque, a heritage village nestled below mighty peaks and surrounded by the Arrow River...so many apt descriptions of this stunning little town.

Hi and welcome to 'Stay in Arrowtown', my name is Emma and I'm a 4th generation Arrowtowner & proud owner of a couple of awesome accommodation options available for you, right here in my home town. There aren't too many 'true locals' left in Arrowtown (to be fair there were never that many here in the first place). In fact there were only 9 children in my class at Arrowtown Primary School around 30 years ago, today my children have about 50-60 kids in each of their year groups.

Arrowtown today (both pre & post COVID) is a vibrant place to live & visit and we love to host people here in our very first home 'Number 10' and also in our newly rebuilt guest wing & family home in Butel Park (which was actually my Grandad's hay paddock).
