SH4 RAETIHI, MANAWATŪ-WHANGANUI – VARIOUS WORKS

Plan ahead for STOP/GO traffic management on SH4, between Queen St and Raetihi Cemetery, 6am-6pm each day between Thursday 10 to Thursday 17 April.

Expect delays of up to 5 minutes through the area during these times.

Crews are expected return to the area within the next 12 months to carry out road rebuild works.

This work is weather dependent and may be rescheduled or extended at short notice. ^CS

CONSERVE WATER – RAETIHI
Due to low river flows in the Makotuku River, it is requested that water is conserved wherever possible in the Raetihi township.
Updates will be posted when levels are back to the required standard.

Home to one of New Zealand’s oldest grandstands and with Mt Ruapehu as a stunning backdrop, the historic town of Raetihi hosts the annual Waimarino Agricultural & Pastoral Show on the third weekend of February each year.

The next event will be this Saturday 15th February 2025 with an extra day of equestrian events held on Sunday 16th. See you all there 👋 🔉

Remember, you can also book your Whanganui River Canoes multi day trip with us, or your Mountains to Sea adventure with our team Mountain Bike Station

The ski fields are open and it is amazing to see so many skiers and boarders out there and having an awesome time!! (the snow cams also provide a bit of entertainment during the day)
