WELCOME BACK FOR 2025

We have had a fantastic first week back at playcentre this week! Amazing weather for outside exploring , climbing trees and water play in the big sandpit! A big thank you to Okato playcentre for letting us use your centre while ours is under construction.
-On that note Rahotu Playcentre is currently shut due to hazards as they are putting on new roofing, at this stage we are unsure when we will be back but will keep this page updated for existing members and new members!

We welcome any new families to the community to come visit our center we would love to meet you 🙂

We have lots planned for 2025 and are very excited to have another year of friendships laughter and exploring within our center!

Today at playcentre we celebrated a birthday! Mars turned 3 today! 🍭 Happy birthday Mars!
We celebrated with a shared Kai and a lovely pink unicorn cake! 🎂

The past 3 weeks has been a variety of weather for our sessions but rain or shine the tamariki will play outside! Over the past few weeks we have really being using our sandpit , working together as a team we built a big volcano! We had the older kids with us for this session, they helped build and create the volcano and make an eruption 🌋 that was a real hit!

We have had a few inside days with crafting and playdoh , painting and playing! This really brings out the creative side in the children! But most of the time outside is more fun! We have had water play,sand play and slime play this is fun and it is experimenting with textures, colours and materials!

We have had new members join our centre over the last couple of weeks so we welcome you and we look forward to an exciting 4 weeks left of the term!

Today the weather gave our playcentre a chance to try out our new blinds around our sandpit! This means even with the wet and windy weather the tamariki are sheltered and warmer while playing! A big thanks to Dobson marquee for an amazing job!

For our final day of term 3 (wow that went fast!) we had a shared Kai with three stories and enjoyed playing on our pairate ship (playground) ☺️

We now have the school holidays for two weeks and our first session back will be Wednesday the 16th October. We welcome all new members to join us for term 4!

Friday at playcentre! Today the sun was shining ☀️
The children made yellow playdough today a creative activity for all ages to enjoy, moulding using tools and a great sensory activity.

The children also enjoyed playing on the new swing set at playcentre today with a baby swing a standard swing and a net swing this gives all our ages a area to play and be enjoyed a big thank you to TBL Builders for building this for our tamariki.

Today we had teddy bears picnic 🧺 🧸 the kids enjoyed some home baked goods and brought a favourite stuffed friend along for the day! The sun was shining for us today a great day!! 😊

Today we had a lovely visit from Tots can Trot equine rescue and services who brought two ponies for the children to ride on as part of our “Animal week”

The children loved having the ponies at playcentre and what an awesome experience it was seeing them build up confidence to ride the ponies! Laughter and smiles all around ☺️
