Happy weekend everyone 😊 What are you up to?

Gosh, I have a pretty full on weekend ahead...

Moving my elderly mum into rest home care, something I've been dreading but now excited and relieved she'll be getting all the care she deserves 🌺

Packing for Africa (for about the 5th time!!!) I'm heading to Kenya and Tanzania in a couple of weeks time to lead and host 2 of my amazing tours - always excited to be returning to my second home ✈️🌍

Having 2 of our gorgeous little grandies for a sleepover 🥰

And finally .. tomorrow afternoon I plan on taking a little time out to rest, breathe and recharge for the busy week ahead 🤷‍♀️

Packing Tips:

Travel smarter by researching packing tips. Here's a few of my own personal favourites...

1. ziplock bags : for everything! They're so handy, lightweight and watertight

2. packing cubes : no more rummaging through suitcases. You'll have everything at your fingertips

3. lightweight layers .. always! You can always layer up .. then peel off

4. pack all items you need to declare together to avoid missing something.. then Customs finding it which can result in a hefty fine.

5. buy a small luggage scale to avoid overweight angst .. but also allows for extra shopping if weight is light

6. invest in a Dry Bag. They're completely watertight and fantastic for storing wet clothing/shoes until they can be dried

Q. How fit do I have to be on your tours?

A. It depends on the trip experience offered, for example a walking tour will require a medium level of fitness due to the theme of the trip .. but generally as long as you lead a moderately active lifestyle, you'll be absolutely fine with my tours.

There are generally options available to opt-out of some activities

Bali certainly is very appealing with its friendly happy people, rich culture, ultra cheap cost of living, gorgeous laid-back lifestyle, lovely beaches and tropical landscape

The front section of the house is shielded by a giant insect net to prevent mosquitoes. There's even an indoor garden to help keep the place cool.
