Welcome to Rotorua Duck Tours a unique Rotorua attraction offering amphibious sightseeing tours of Rotorua and itโ€™s lakes area. On one of our tours you will get a great introduction to Rotorua's rich history and view some of its most spectacular scenery. Rotorua Duck Tours i

The fun begins as soon as you climb aboard one of our amazing WWII Military Landing Craft (known as Ducks), where you will meet your legendary 'Conducktor' who is in charge of your guided tour. Come and join us on our 90 minute scheduled Rotorua City & Lakes Tour or our โ€œAll Newโ€ 120 minute Tarawera & Lakes Tour. On both tours we explore the most famous of Rotoruaโ€™s lakes and its landmarks. The highlights include; informative commentary, 'splashdown' onto 2 or 3 lakes, geothermal activity, Maori Culture, history of Rotorua and views of Mount Tarawera, history of our authentic WWII Landing Crafts and much more! Tours depart 3 times a day in summer and twice daily in winter. Rotorua Duck Tours is an educational and entertaining activity for the whole family and a true adventure all ages can enjoy! We know Lake Tarawera is an absolute gem ๐Ÿคฉ and perfect for a splash, but we've noticed something that needs a quick chat. Some of our younger adventurers have been showing off their cannonball skills by jumping off the jetty right as our Ducks are making their grand entrances and exits ๐Ÿฆ†๐Ÿšค
Hereโ€™s the thing: swimming around a boat ramp isnโ€™t just riskyโ€”itโ€™s also a big no-no โ›”๏ธ and itโ€™s illegal! Weโ€™d be heartbroken if anyone got hurt, so letโ€™s all work together to keep it safe and fun.
Parents, we kindly ask you to keep a close eye on your water-lovers and guide them toward safer spots to dive and play. Letโ€™s make this summer one to rememberโ€”for all the right reasons!

We used to distribute translation sheets in 6 languages (English, German, French, Japanese, Mandarin and Korean) which were teared off from a paper pad making them unusable for the next customers. A waste of paperโ€ฆ Now, we are proud to distribute laminated sheets that can be used for a while โ™ป๏ธ

Trevor and Greg have been out, clearing the growth around the native planting on Tarawera Road as part of the Tipu Wai restore and regenerate project, making sure those young plants have the best chance to thrive! ๐ŸŒณโœจ

The crew was out for an early morning tow and emergency training. We later received a clip from what sounds like a very sick David Attenborough. Some may say it is fake, and others are in shock that we would be graced with a video from he nature man himself.

Last weekend we were out with and a whole bunch of awesome people, doing our part to help with the restore and rejuvenate program. It wasn't the sunniest of weather, but, people turned up and were eager to help. Over 2 days of digging and planting, Tipu Wai managed to get over 3500 native plants & trees in the ground along Tarawera Road. Over the coming months, watch as these natives flourish and bloom, making our roadside and the drive out to our stunning lakes even more beautiful.
