The fun begins as soon as you climb aboard one of our amazing WWII Military Landing Craft (known as Ducks), where you will meet your legendary 'Conducktor' who is in charge of your guided tour. Come and join us on our 90 minute scheduled Rotorua City & Lakes Tour or our “All New” 120 minute Tarawera & Lakes Tour. On both tours we explore the most famous of Rotorua’s lakes and its landmarks. The highlights include; informative commentary, 'splashdown' onto 2 or 3 lakes, geothermal activity, Maori Culture, history of Rotorua and views of Mount Tarawera, history of our authentic WWII Landing Crafts and much more! Tours depart 3 times a day in summer and twice daily in winter. Rotorua Duck Tours is an educational and entertaining activity for the whole family and a true adventure all ages can enjoy! Say GOODBYE to April and HELLO to our first Dad Joke Wednesday for May!! 🖐

Today, Duck Tours is back to winter hours with 2x departures per day!

Our 90-minute City and Lakes Tour will depart at 11:00am daily and our 120-minute Tarawera and Lakes Tours will depart at 2:15pm daily.

Winter departure times are effective from 1st May 2024 until September 30th 2024.

The crew was out for an early morning tow and emergency training. We later received a clip from what sounds like a very sick David Attenborough. Some may say it is fake, and others are in shock that we would be graced with a video from he nature man himself.

Last weekend we were out with and a whole bunch of awesome people, doing our part to help with the restore and rejuvenate program. It wasn't the sunniest of weather, but, people turned up and were eager to help. Over 2 days of digging and planting, Tipu Wai managed to get over 3500 native plants & trees in the ground along Tarawera Road. Over the coming months, watch as these natives flourish and bloom, making our roadside and the drive out to our stunning lakes even more beautiful.

In the wake of last week's announcement from the RLC regarding the vast patches of algae bloom currently floating around Rotorua and Rotoiti, we want to shed light on another issue presently plaguing our lakes. We were out with the ducks on tour and had a yarn with Josh as he showed us what the weed looks like and what they do to make sure they're doing their part to keep our lakes clean.

2 sleeps until Christmas! Hopefully, you got your Christmas shopping done early. To help brighten your day up a little bit more, here is a sneaky video we found of Josh having a poorly timed lip-sync sing along as he was bringing the duck into town.

We're back with another #DosomethingnewNZ showcase. This week Josh goes for a play in the Mamaku ranges at the well established Off Road NZ . Sitting on approximately 150 acres of land ranging from farmland to native bush. Over 100 acres are used for activities that can be done on-site, from karting to 4WD safaris; there are incredible experiences to be had by all. So strap in and check out the first part of this awesome showcase.
