Awwww wow! A huge heart felt THANK YOU for the amazing response to my previous post. Definitely feeling the love, and I truly appreciate the support as I navigate this next chapter. đ
Meanwhile, this is a bit exciting! New Zealand Womanâs Weekly reached out a few weeks back, asking if Iâd feature in a piece they were putting together to celebrate International Rural Womenâs Day on 15th October.
Celebrating rural women from all walks of life, I was interviewed as a rural woman who lives on a dairy farm but also has an off-farm career. A woman who supports her farming husband 100%, milking cows, feeding calves, and getting the farm work done when help is needed; but who openly admits to feeling happier working in an office environment in town.
The article follows my journey from cancer to starting up Strong Woman, to heading back into my dream career job in the travel industry.
Shout out to my proud friends and family who have already bought the magazine, and to my work colleagues who have been super supportive of the article. My kids were the opposite, the girls said to me âMum, I canât believe you put a photo of us in there, this is so embarrassingâ âŠ. Teenagers! đđ
The magazine is on sale NOW, grab a copy when youâre next at the supermarket. Sarah xx
