Our most docile sow, Curly, has just dropped 12 of the cutest wee shiny piglets! Even though it's been warm, they still enjoy the heatlamp at night. All our guests will be able to see and touch them over the coming stays, at evening feeding times. You still might be able to find a few gaps of availability at www.ariasfarm.com in Rotorua.

JOB VACANCY: Part-time Gardener & Housekeeper [Nov-Mar only]
Approx 5-20 hours per week dependent on weather and servicing requirements. School hours during the week, occasional weekend, ideal for a stay-at-home parent, also compliments a benefit.
We have a lovely 3 acre farm, gardens, animals, and four buildings that we use for busy short term rentals. We are located at the very top end of Clayton Rd – www.ariasfarm.com
Regular tasks include w**ding, trimming, digging, pruning, w**ding, raking, planting, spraying, mowing, did I say w**ding?
The second part of the role is backup and assistance to our Housekeeping Manager, when the larger buildings have checkouts and new checkins the same day – then it’s All Hands On Deck between 9am and 3pm to get the places cleaned in time.
Suit fit person who has a strong arm and good back, and who is comfortable bending over and w**ding all day or reaching overhead to make those annoying bunk beds, or scrubbing shower glass back to sparkly.
Full training will be provided but it would be nice if you knew a w**d from a vegetable, and comfortable operating or learning hand tools/w**d eater etc.
Perks? Great people to work for. We’re flexible if you have other demands. Free farm eggs and vegetables usually available over Summer. Our guests are normally tidy, appreciative visitors so the buildings are rarely that messy. And you get paid fairly for a job well done – we don’t skimp on staff.

ROTORUA - LAST CHANCE TO GET rescue layers from a commercial place THIS SUNDAY . These are 20 months old and been treated for worms & mites 2 months ago, and flea-treated this week. They only have few feathers, but will grow some back over Summer - in the meantime they need shelter, feed (including protein and grass), water, a calm safe environment, and lots of love. They will start laying well around Oct/Nov after their bodies have rejuvenated for a couple months. Treated well they will provide another 3 years of eggs like they do for me. $25 per pair. Collection 4pm next this Sunday 25th Aug - Arias Farm, 396 Clayton Rd. PM Kerris Browne to book yours.
