We love hosting families and we're rapt when we hear that our guests enjoyed what we offer.

Holidaying with young kids can be challenging, we happily take care of providing the portacot, highchair and toys along with child-friendly plates and cutlery. Just a few things that we hope make your stay a little more relaxing!

1,827 days, 480+ Airbnb reviews, thousands of fabulous guests, approx 2000 beds made 😆..............and we're still having fun!!!

I still wonder sometimes how we started on this crazy, busy hosting journey 7 years ago with Cottage135. We've learnt so much since then and connected with so many amazing people ( guests from all over the globe, fellow hosts, tourism operators).

We're ever thankful for the opportunities hosting gives us and feel privileged to be doing something we love. Here's to the next 5 years!

The wet and windy weather didn't dampen our spirits yesterday!
The perfect afternoon to take a ride in the gondola up to at to enjoy an antipasto platter and a couple of great wines ( I recommend the Syrah!)

That gondola was swinging about in the wild wind a bit - we'll call it our adrenaline activity for the day 🙃🤣🤣

Had the pleasure of meeting these lovely guests from Utah, USA as they left Rotorua to continue on with their Nz adventure.

Last week I enjoyed a relaxing couple of hours at the new with my daughter. The perfect way to end her birthday week!
We booked in to do the Restorative Journey - what a treat! I wasn't sure how I would enjoy the cold ( ice cold) parts of the experience but the whole thing was just lovely.

Can't wait to return!!

I've been a little quiet here lately - busy keeping up with back to back bookings, maintenance, laundry and some sleeps in between.

But arriving to turn the house over for our next guests and seeing the guestbook entry reminds me of why we do this!

Every group is different but we really do continue to get the best guests - I love that they can feel 'at home' despite being so far from home

Lisa stayed at Cottage135 last year and then this week at Blackwood.

It's such a buzz to get feedback like this and we can't wait for her to visit again! Even the nonstop rain didn't dampen her enthusiasm 😅

Did you know Airbnb support and encourage hosts to participate in making our little parts of the world a more beautiful space for all to enjoy.

We accepted the challenge and headed to our local lakefront walkway - we were pleasantly surprised at how little litter there was ( although we do have a fab community here 🤩).

Who would've thought water was so exciting!!
This week we've switched over to gas hot water at Blackwood. This means a continuous supply of hot water with great pressure - an improvement that's been on our list since we listed the house 😃
Pretty stoked that we've finally been able to tick it off our 'to-do' list
