The Elevate abseiling workshop was offered in collaboration with Women's Support Motueka and Canyoning Aotearoa

It was run by Women’s Support counsellor and case manager Camille Paris, along with her husband Adrien, a canyoning instructor with a Level 2 New Zealand Outdoor Instructors Association qualification. Together the pair own Canyoning Aotearoa and this program was trialed in 2023, with positive results.

🏔Winter update!🏔

The road from the Dart Ford to Dry Chasm (Blue Creek) is currently closed to all public for a month, due to heavy machinery working on road maintenance.

This means we won't be able to run any tours until the 11th of July. 🤷🏻‍♂️

We apologise if you booked a tour with us or if you were intending to, during this time. Time for a forced break for us. 🙂

We still take bookings for later adventure.

We may be getting closer to the end of the season, but we still have 3 more weeks before we close our doors in St Arnaud, Lake Rotoiti! With our warm Guara-outdoor wetsuits, and the right attitude 🤙, you will still be able to enjoy and have a great experience in the canyons! 😀💦

March is already gone! And what a canyoning month it has been for us. 💦🤙

From the canyoning festival and Canyon Sar exercise down in Haast Pass, to the exploration of the incredible Whirling Water, this month has been full of Canyoning experiences. Adri taught canyoning at NMIT with and Toine from . We ended up taking a lot of keen adventurers through Hidden Falls and Shift canyon. And we also finally descend the famous whiskey falls for a bit of fun. 🙃🥃

Thanks to everyone we met and spent time with this month, we had a blast with you all! 🫶

We are taking a small break. . . 🏔

We had such an epic summer so far and enjoyed so much having you all in this little gem. We feel it's time for us to take a wee break to be able to come back with full energy for the last 2 months of the season. So, we want to let you know that we will be closed from the 29th of February until the 11th of March 2024.

Can't believe it! 🫢

We are already almost in February, and these last 2 months have flown by, but so much happened! 😀

What a day! 😀

Today was the end of a long process, as we completed our safety audit Shift Canyon! 🥳🤙

This audit has been postponed so many times due to a lot of different reasons, but we are so happy to say that's it's finally done! 🙂
We can't wait to take some adventurers in this epic canyon! So, if you feel like a big adventure into the wilderness, this is for you! The cherry on the cake is this awesome guided rappel, where you will abseil down 60m!

Rebolting History! Witness the transformation of Blue Creek (Dry Chasm), NZ's iconic dry canyon! We are growing again! 😁 Meet Jay! Whether it’s a weekday or a weekend, you’ll always find Jay out in the wops, hanging off a rope in a canyon somewhere, biking in the hills, or paddling down a river! Jay grew up in New Zealand exploring the outdoors from a young age and now spends his time sharing that passion with others as much as he can. This outdoor passion has taken him all over the globe, having just returned from canyoning all through the French, Italian, and Swiss alps. He is now back in his home country for the summer season, ready to show others his local canyons. Jay holds NZOIA Canyon 1 and Rock 1 qualifications, as well as being an NZOIA assessor. He also holds qualifications in advanced first aid, whitewater rafting, abseiling and flood rescue, as well as volunteering for Land and Canyon search and rescue teams. But most importantly, Jay loves high fives so get ready for lots of those on his trips 🙏

There are some things that never change! Having Covid and a broken ankle, gave us some time to reflect on our journey and the past season. We want to take this time to share with you, whats happened these past few months and some changes in our lives: 🔸️We found a base on the main street of St Arnaud, to store and wash our canyoning gear, and we contracted 5 students from the Adventure Tourism programe at Te Pukenga (NMIT), to help run our guided trips. 🔸️We took over full ownership of Canyoning Aotearoa, from our previous business partner, Mark, who is no longer an owner of the company. We want to give a massive thanks for all his contributions and work for the company, as he joined us in the beginning of this adventure. 🔸️We went through the process of the Safety Audit with @adventuremarknz, which helped us to refine and update our processes and make things even better than ever! This process always takes a lot of energy, time . . . and money, but this process ensures we are operating safely and helps us to grow and become a better canyoning company. 🔸️We have already met some amazing humans and have taken a considerable number of you through the canyon. We want to say a massive thanks to all of you, who supported our small, local and new business and for bringing your awesome energy and good vibes into our daily lives. 🔸️We developed, in collaboration with Women's Support, Motueka, our first women's Adventure Therapy workshop called 'Elevate'. And this is the proof that some things will never change... from the begining, when we, @adri_cam_ventures, decided to start this journey, our passion and our beliefs are still the same.
