We had some pretty big news come through on Friday afternoon.
Qualmark is how the tourism industry recognises places and experiences that put the environment and visitor experience first.
Two years ago (in our first assessment) we achieved Silver, something we were (and still are) very proud of. Since then we’ve taken onboard their recommendations to improve our business further. Their criteria for assessment recently became the first in New Zealand to gain official recognition by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) - and meeting that criteria is not simple.
Achieving Qualmark accreditation aligns with global sustainability standards - which we now hold a GOLD award for 🏅🏅
Our award demonstrates that NZ Look Shuttles is dedicated to protecting the natural environment, strengthening connections with local communities, and providing a high-quality, safe experience for all visitors.

Trees That Count% Food Resilience Network AvonOtakaro Trust
@treesthatcount is a movement to plant more native trees across Aotearoa New Zealand. Managed by Project Crimson, they’re actively helping to mitigate climate change and boost native biodiversity.
And you know what? We’re totally on board with that plan! We 100% acknowledge climate change and want to play our role in preserving the future of New Zealand, and the rest of the planet – that’s why we’ve become a tree funder.
Our first 25 trees are expected to remove 5.53 tonnes of CO2 from the atmosphere after 50 years. And this is just the start of our journey. We’ll be funding plenty more trees in future with the goal of balancing out emissions from the diesel that keeps our vehicles on the road.
