It’s here! It’s here! We know you’re as excited as we are, but during the parade please keep safe and make sure you (and any little ones with you) stay behind the line. Toes are important and we don’t want any floats to go over them.

Its Scarecrow time!! Jump on the trail between now and 17 November 🔍

The 2024 Scarecrow Trail is open! Running from 1 to 17 November, the trail is one of Taranaki’s largest scavenger hunts.

There are over 50 community-crafted scarecrows to discover, with $2,000 worth of prizes on offer for scarecrow creators and hunters. (Don't worry, you don't have to find them all to be in to win).

🥳🦺 We're pleased to share the news that the roadworks on SH3 at Burgess Park, south of New Plymouth, are nearly complete, and the road has been reinstated to two lanes ahead of schedule!

This means that the road is back open to travel for both northbound and southbound traffic, but it's crucial you stick to all temporary speed restrictions in place. Speeding over a freshly sealed road can damage the new seal as well as vehicles (including your own). So, please drive safely and patiently.

The crew have sealed all three lanes of the nearly 2km long site, and the road still needs to be swept and line-marked during off-peak hours. The passing lane will not be reinstated until the site has been line-marked.
