Peter Wall on to a nice rainbow with his home made bamboo rod and Hardy reel......getting g it done !

These fish were milling around because previous anglers had gutted their fish here, there were guts and gills, row and liver on the water edge, appalling behavior from Kiwi anglers, in 30 years of fishing I have never seen such disrespect of our fishery, unfortunately the 3 anglers involved had gone when I returned or I would have educated them on the rules and ethics of fly fishing. Not only is this illegal, the next anglers to fish will see this, not the quality experience one wants.

Afternoon fish with Lisa, caught some, lost some, fun couple of hours

We missed the fish in this little side stream, there were 4 ,had 3 takes but but they didn't stick.

Nathan on his first ever trout on fly, well done and not a bad one either!

This one got the better of us

Last day fishing the upper river limits with a first time fly fishing client, think he did a great job, landing 4 for the morning, well done Owen.

More lace moth crazy trout, its like they are in ga ga land, you hook one, it is flying around the pool and the rest just keep feeding as if nothing is happening.....love it !
