Wild weather for a long weekend made both our parties pretty wet at times !! But… we got the job done and all went home with lovely venison . Spring growth is pumping and so is the condition of these animals !!

Pretty special weekend meat hunt with generations of hunters ! Maxim got his first blood along side his Father and Grandfather which were super proud . Well we have had a fantastic roar and it’s been awesome being on the hills over the last few weeks !! So good seeing what’s up and coming for next roar too - some great young stuff coming up . Let’s thin out some hinds in the next month or so and fill that freezer for slow cook options !! My favourite

What a weekend !! Wet , sweaty , hot and cold but these guys returned to Auckland refreshed after a great catch up . Heard a few stags late in the evenings and at night so it’s all exciting going forward !!!

Took grasshopper to work today to see what it’s all about . High rivers made for hard crossings but the Cicadas were on the menu and made for some keen trout to the net !
