For those that asked for more info...
This rustic holiday home is located on the coast half way between Raglan & Port Waikato in the farming area of Te Akau/Matira.
Four bedrooms sleep up to 10 people (8 as singles) in comfy beds (BYO bedding), 2 lounges, fully equipped kitchen, sky TV, free wifi, woodburner(&heat pump) & extensive rural views. The beach is about 2km away along a private farm track.
Horse riders are welcome to bring their own horses and utilise access to beach through private land. Riding through the farm is also available. There is a paddock (about an 1 acre) for horses, easily dividable by tape complete with water trough.
For cyclists, the property is halfway along the popular Raglan to Port Waikato Limestone trail & there are lots of other biking options on gravel roads close by including the Nikau Caves & Cafe loop.
Likewise there are some good coastal walking options available.
Larger groups (ie Pony club camps) can be catered for by request.

The house is slowly being redecorated & grounds being developed. Best described as "comfortable" not flash.

Minimum 2 night stay is $500 (includes house & paddock for 2 nights).
Available from 1 September to 30 May or by request.

Available for bookings summer 24/25. Been out of action due to painting/window replacements & bridge replacement but ready to go again from Spring. Riders - plan your time with us around low tides at sensible hours = such an amazing experience. Use Raglan tide times.

Gravel cyclists - keen on doing the Port Waikato - Raglan ride or to re-ride Gravel Nationals course or just escape somewhere different with your cycling mates.
Self catered 4 bedroom house available at Waikorea/Matira (mid way - Raglan - Port Waikato). Private Farm access to beach for surfing & fishing.
$300/night or $450 for 2 nights. BYO linen, food & bikes. $150 deposit to confirm booking.

Was a bit scary having the International award winning team from Stone Hill Horse Treks & Holidays come to stay......but they were such a great group & even want to come back! In true Farm House style they were required to self-navigate but it looks like they found the beach! Whew!

We try to do our bit supporting good causes - Be into win a free weekend at the Beach Cottage at the Te Akau School Big Night Out next month & last month our quad bike was part of the arena grooming crew at the North Island Dressage Champs at the National Equestrian Centre.

“Wow, Wow, Wow! What a frikkin amazing place! House is so cozy, we loved how we could sit on deck have a drinkie and horses right there over fence. We loved loved the riding and the beach just spectacular! We were so lucky with weather and hardly any wind. We will definitely be booking in as much as we can we definitely will be regular customers lol. Thanks!😀”

I’d be keen to hear from those that did the first one - do you want it shorter, longer, more hills (less hills isn’t an option), do you want to get up high & look down over the coastline, do you want to spend time in the lagoon/stream or more time playing in the surf????

The Farm House is a comfortable 4 bedroom rural residence set up for families & small groups(sleeps up to 10). It’s about 1.5km inland of the beautiful remote Waikorea Beach. There is a paddock & sheep yards suitable for horses. Fully equipped kitchen, 8burner BBQ, 2 lounges, 2 toilets, sky Tv & wifi. PM for introductory (still jobs to be done) pricing offer.

A few more jobs to sort over the winter but if you are starting to think about getting out on the hills and onto the beach for fitness work leading up to spring/summer - I’ll be opening the house up to friends over the next few months. Currently sleeps 7-8.
Happy to take anyone out to check it out/ be my guinea pigs before then depending on schedules....
