Whew, it’s a bit wet out there right now!

Adventure Te Aroha won’t be running this weekend, while we wait to see what the rest of Autumn brings… 🍂🛶🌦️

We’ve had a few inquiries for Easter already - at this stage we are open, unless the weather doesn’t cooperate!

Well, we’ve been a bit quiet on the social media front, but not so much on the river! 🚣‍♂️🏞️

Here are some of photos from the latest trip on Sunday, with a small group from Auckland.

We are still ticking along on the weekends, though will be closed this weekend!

Kayak tours will continue to run as long as the weather holds up and hopefully through into Easter!

A bit of a change of scenery for the Adventure Te Aroha kayaks yesterday!

An excellent trip and a ~26km paddle. We had 8 of our 11 kayaks on the water, including both single and double kayaks in the group.

Back to our usual trips again later today after a thorough scrub down and dry off.

Most of the fleet was out and about today to have 10 people on the water! The Red & Aqua double kayaks, which make up the full fleet's colour scheme, were still at home!

It sounds like we have company on the river…. 🦭.

Seals do occasionally come up the Waihou River, working their way up toward Okoroire, chasing fish and exploring.

Today, there has been a report of a seal upstream toward Matamata.

In 2020, I was fortunate to spot this one cruising up past the Te Aroha rail-bridge (cycleway bridge).

You never do know just who or what you might see on the river 😁
