Our Story
When I was a kid growing up in Waikanae, I attended Waikanae Pony Club on borrowed ponies until I got my own. My Dad used to take me to Peka Peka stables in the late 1960’s and 1970’s, run by Mr Tom Davies. When I returned to the Coast I saw a need so it is a pleasure to once again offer horse trekking, usually personally guided. This is just a hobby, out of interest, I do this on a very small scale, with my big Clydesdale cross mare, Boadica (Bo), and standardbred mare Charlotte who is the veteran mare and very safe. I also offer, for intermediate and experienced riders, trekking in hilly country like Battle Hill, Pauatahanui and Whareroa Farm, Paekakariki. Allow the better part of a day for these.
