I started my travel career in 1994, taking a break to have my family, travel and pursue other business interests in between. Memphis was an interesting stop after buzzing Nashville! Quite a different vibe to the city. Some cool spots though and some got you thinking.
Beale Street the centre of the city with its many bars…Blues bars and some just noisy! Lorraine Hotel where Martin Luther King was shot and Arcade Restaurant which was a favourite for Elvis.
Graceland was was a lot more peaceful than expected. The Peabody Hotel next door even had a ducks in the lobby and a duck march, when they are taken through the lobby and up to bed each night! 😌

Our last Aussie stop...Noosa! Staying right in the town so close to the beach! Mantra French Quarter was a fab last resort! 😂
Some gorgeous restaurants and shops. We walked 10kms of the Coastal Track (in the heat) but, were rewarded with amazing views and saw Green Turtles swimming below the track.
Back to Brisbane via Caloundra and the Glasshouse Mountains and even saw a small Brown Snake - needless to say I did not get too close!

From here it was an easy half day trip to the Eumundi Markets and Montville.
The Surf Clubs make for a fab lunch or dinner with reasonable food and drinks prices and supporting the local surf rescue.
Mooloolaba Wharf area was buzzing great restaurants and bars. We ate at Prawn Star sitting on the back of an old trawler - yum! So many seafood goodies!🦪

We stopped at the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and we were absolutely blown away by this experience. Gliding over nature to Kuranda. Returning by the Kuranda Scenic Railway. A fabulous afternoon. 😍
Staying right on the Esplanade in Cairns was perfect to explore the Reef (Green Island) during the day and the many amazing restaurants at night. Micky had crocodile and I underestimated the description of a small seafood platter for 1!
Cairns was a bit busier than we thought it would be!

Where do you go when you have the whole of Aussie to choose from with only one condition…it had to be somewhere new for me! So…Port Douglas and Cairns it was…managed Noosa and Mooloolaba as well as last time I was there I was 14! So that kinda counts as somewhere new!
First up Port Douglas 🤩
We both loved it here! Some lovely wee shops and fab restaurants ❤️
Croc spotting but, they were hiding! Will have to go back 😍
Accommodation was Peppers Beach Club 🥰
