We are excited to announce that we have teamed up with Jimney.co.nz to allow you to come away with us in a fully adventure ready Jimny equipped with everything that you need for your adventure.

These vehicles are real mountain goats and can go anywhere!

Central Otago Gold Trails

Come and join us for a week long adventure exploring the fantastic trails left to us by our Gold mining forbears of yesteryear.

Based out of Ranfurly, this trip covers the very best that Central Otago has to offer.

We are running two trips this season. 11-15 November and 27-31 January.

Every night, we will be staying in places with a range of accommodation to suit you.

NEW TRIP ANNOUNCEMENT !!!!!!!

Our newly released Wilderness Explorer Comfort trip has been such a success that we’ve decided to run another.

The new trip will run from 23 February until 1 March 2025, inclusive.

Just a reminder, this covers all the tracks that we travel on our Wilderness Camping trips, except at night you can sleep in a bed, have a shower and join us in the pub for a yarn.

All our overnight destinations have a range of accommodation, so take your pick. We’re going to camp but if you want some luxury, go for gold.

We will be spending our days exploring the wilderness and then relaxing in the accommodation of your choice at night.

Unfortunately our program is full and these dates don’t match school holidays, but if you want to come as a family, that would be great!!

What a last few days! Maisie has completely refreshed the website and we’ve added two new trips.

Wilderness in Comfort

We’ve had lots of people interested in our Wilderness Camping trips who aren’t interested in or aren’t able to camp, so we’ve created the Wilderness in Comfort trip.

Every day, we will be out in the Wilderness and every night we will be back in civilisation, allowing you to book a cosy place with a hot shower, restaurant meal and a catch up with the team.

If you like your camping, you can do that as well. We’ve chosen all our overnight destinations based on the range of accommodation available to suit all levels of comfort and budget.

So it’s the same tracks as the Wilderness Camping, but in comfort.

Our first of these trips runs from the 6-12 April 2025 and is already 50% booked. We limit the numbers in the convoy, so let us know if you’re interested.

Gold Trails November

We’ve also added an additional Gold Trails trip running from 11-15 November. This is an absolutely fantastic trip, packed with great Overlanding and heaps of history. Central Otago is amazing in Spring and this trip is always fully booked. Save the dates and get out with us before the Christmas madness.

Things have been pretty busy getting ready for next season. We’ve got ourselves a new awning and kitchen setup. Really happy with how it all works.

Will get out next week and put it through its paces.

After a lot of feedback, we’re going to offer a Wilderness Comfort trip. We’re going to explore the same amazing wilderness places but stay somewhere comfortable at night.

The first trip will be starting at the beginning of April next year. If you’re interested, get in touch to reserve your space.

Bookings are going really well and the Summer is going to be the best yet.
