Say hello to one of the newest members of the PureTrails family - Mike!

“Over the years I have enjoyed exploring New Zealand and especially wilderness areas on foot, by bike and even on horseback. As part of PureTrails' ongoing commitment to improving the environment, especially where we operate, we’ve teamed up with ECAN (Environment Canterbury) to assist in educating and removing Wilding Pines.

We're proud to bring this initiative to our tours, teaming up with ECAN to educate and assist in the removal of the Wilding Pines that threaten the landscapes we all love.

New Zealand's first Rail Trail and Original Great Ride opened in 2000. It has so much NZ history, gold, farming, and places of interest - the historical Hayes Homestead and Engineering Museum, a world scientific research site, and an Olympic curling rink. Not to mention some wonderful pubs with good southern hospitality.
