Te Waikoropupū Springs are the largest freshwater springs in NZ, the largest cold water springs in the Southern Hemisphere and contain some of the clearest water ever measured. They are very culturally and spiritually significant, both locally and nationally.

In Māori tradition, the springs are waiora, the purest form of water and provide water for healing. In the past, the springs were a place of ceremonial blessings at times of birth and death and the leaving and returning of travellers.

It's a beautiful 45-min walk -not to miss!

Cape Farewell - ‘Onetahua ‘is a Sandstone Bluff at the northernmost part of the South Island.

Captain Cook and the HMB Endeavour rounded the cape on 24 March 1770. And aptly named ‘Cape Farewell” as the HMB Endeavour departed NZ for Australia.

All aboard the ferry from Kaiteriteri to Totaranui. Where the guide collects them, and they continue their cycling journey. Once they get to Tata Beach, they continue cycling to the next leg of the tour to Takaka.

Our accommodation typically includes motels and historic hotels because of their unique charm, the hospitality and proven reliability over the years. Mostly all the accommodation is ensuite based on double or twin-share rooms.

Meals are supplied as indicated on the itinerary. Breakfast is continental-style, and lunches are taken either as a trail-side picnic or in cafes along the trail. For dinner, we dine in local restaurants in the villages where we stay.
