Company history
J.B. Demex was founded in 2012 by partners James

Barkle and John Te Amo to meet demand for post-earthquake excavation and demolition in the Canterbury region. In particular it has met the needs of building and related companies in such areas a pre-construction site preparation, especially the relatively new foundations system of rib-rafting. Comprising the two principals and one full-time staff member, J.B. Demex staff have nearly 40 years of combined experience, and they take a personal pride in their work, and set out to exceed the client’s expectations by their work ethic, their ability to handle tricky and challenging jobs, and their flexibility.

Owner operators – the apex of efficiency

JBDemex can meet most excavation needs. If you need skillful and diligent operators then you need JBDemex. Examples of work that we do (but not limited to): Ring and rib-raft foundations; driveway preparation for concreting and asphalting, including boxing; landscaping; soil spreading; Hill work; Trenching; Septic tank excavation; Driveway cut-downs; Tree, stump, fence and wall removal; Garage and house demolition; Augering;

If your job requires a digger then we can do it. Operating throughout Canterbury Company history J.B. Demex was founded in March 2012 to meet demand for post-earthquake excavation and demolition in the Canterbury region. In particular it has met the needs of building and related companies in such areas a pre-construction site preparation, especially the relatively new foundations system of rib-rafting. The company comprises of the sole director - James, his wife Sarah and one full time staff member Mark. Sarah takes care of the accounts, James runs the show doing all of the quoting and working on the job. Jame sand Mark both have a long history in the construction industry. They take personal pride in their work, and set out to exceed the client’s expectations by their work ethic, their ability to handle tricky and challenging jobs, and their flexibility.
