We made it! Our work is almost done for the year… now it’s paperwork time! 😅.

2024 has been both challenging and unpredictable with a good dose of faithful clients, new work prospects and a real range of exciting opportunities for our little business. It’s strange times in the building and housing industry and we are ever thankful for what comes our way, be it renovations, new builds or fixing weird electrical issues.

Things that haven’t changed… We continue to pride ourselves on our work ethic, the quality of our workmanship, the showing up, integrity and investment of our employees on every job. These values are core to the success of our business in a competitive market.

Thanks to all for choosing ZEAL Electrical this year, we wish you a Merry Christmas and blessings for 2025 and we look forward to working together in the New Year. 🙌🏼🎉🎄😃

📣 Man of the moment... We could not be more proud of our employee Hamish, he has persevered to achieve his 'Electrical Engineering Theory and Practical (Trade) Level 4' Certificate!! 👏

It has taken years of hard work and has not been easy to attain, but he has proven that he has what it takes! Now our fully qualified Sparky, despite already being able to do anything that's required on the job for some time, this is the icing on the cake.

What a way to finish 2024 Hamish! 🤩🥳🙌

Oh just look at that beautiful aesthetic lighting at Twenty Eight cafe, Cornwall St Lower Hutt. 😉. With their world class chef, and delectable kai and drink selection, don’t go to the hutt without stopping by to enjoy the goods.

Fitting out this refurbished cafe was a great job for a great client. 😊

Another local business we love and are also our client’s, Jeans Coffee Shop, on Fergusson Drive just by Whakatiki roundabout. They are also artisan bakers and just do great coffee and goodies! With Easter this weekend coming, they’re onto it with the hot cross buns. Yum!!!

We have made the decision to not sell Easter Boxes this year. And instead focus on Hot X Buns and a select few products for Easter weekend.
It’s gotten to the point we no longer have adequate space to not only bust a move, but also do what we do in an efficient manner.
We’ll start taking Hot X Bun pre orders for collection on Good Friday, tomorrow.
We plan on baking as many HXB as we can, so there she’ll be a few I’d imagine.
I know we’re late to the Easter party, but we’re here now.

Even though I'm the sole woman in our little business, I am definitely not the only woman to help keep it going. We don't need a special day to value one another, but here we are! :)

Today I think of the mother's of our team who've had great influence in their young men's lives, championing them through the years and into their career choices. I think of the wives and partners who are an incredible support to our guys, and I even think of the nana's! Mine was the first female electrician in NZ, so there you go - breaking through barriers whilst raising a family too. :)

The guys are equally as important, but today - go the girls!
