Our hearts go out to all the people who have been impacted, especially in the Hawke’s Bay Area by Cyclobe Gabrielle and the aftermath. Some heartbreaking stories and loss of life. So what’s with the name I hear you ask?
Well… to cut a long story short, I love olive trees, we got married underneath one and as you drive up to the house the street happens to be lined with olive trees.
And we are of course located at the stunning Waihi Beach.
So, Olive trees + the sea

These double potted beauties looked perfect inside against the white walls, however they were so unhappy and shed all their leaves and so have moved to their happy place outside!

Now that watermelons are closer to $10 each instead of $20 😳 it was time to splash out (or try to grow my own!) Cucumbers seem to be plentiful and I had 4 in my fridge! This recipe is quick and simple, just the way I like to cook.

Dice watermelon
Dice feta
Slice cucumber
Chop fresh mint and sprinkle over
Add a squeeze of lime juice over the top
