We're all about leaving Wānaka's natural landscape in a better place. Our Wānaka Conservation Safari group today rolled up their sleeves, got their hands dirty and not only planted Kōwhai seeds, watered trees at Te Kakano Aotearoa Trust - Wānaka's community native plant nursery, but helped restore the Glendhu Wetland Reserve planting 35 native grasses. Well done guys, Wānaka thanks you all... Massive thanks also to Loran and Kris from Te Kakano Aotearoa Trust for being so supportive and making this happen. And to Aroha New Zealand Tours for bringing your group to Wānaka specifically for this experience.

Beginning our “Introducing the Ridgeline family” series we thought we’d start with Davy. A longtime Wānaka local with more stories than he’s had hot dinners! With a working life in horticulture then running guided fishing trips on Lake Wānaka to enjoying life sharing all his local knowledge with our guests. We love Davy … you will too!

Proud to be supporting through those chilly winter months. Along with our trapping programme on West Wānaka Station we look after a trapline here along Cameron Creek. Thanks to nearby for providing salmon offcuts for bait. Great to be giving back to our place.

We love being part of the Wānaka community so to acknowledge this we're bringing back our "Pay what you can" deals to all locals this Autumn.

Fantastic visit from these young Kea on our Wild Hills Safari today. They are the worlds only alpine parrot living solely in the mountains of New Zealand's South Island. There are only 5000 of these incredible birds left in the wild. Hopefully this is a sign that our trapping programme we've been running for the past 7 years up here is working...

How do these office views look to you? We take guests from all over the world well off the beaten track with private access through West Wanaka and Lake Hawea’s Dingleburn Stations.

We are looking for drivers to join our amazing team for full time, part time and casual work through to May (and ideally next summer and beyond!)

Drivers need a current P endorsement, First Aid certificate and a love for conservation, the outdoors and story telling. Farming knowledge is an advantage but not essential.
