We are a small family owned company offering exclusive small-group and private High Country Walks, 4WD Nature Tours and Photography Tours. Our trips feature history, heritage and an insight into modern-day farming life on one of Wanaka's oldest sheep cattle and deer farms. Situated right on the border of a UNESCO World Heritage Area and overlooking picturesque Lake Wanaka allow us to show you a v

ery unique side of our slice of New Zealand. We have family roots in the Wanaka and Central Otago area going back 150 years so we really have a close affinity and outstanding knowledge of this very special part of New Zealand. Beginning our “Introducing the Ridgeline family” series we thought we’d start with Davy. A longtime Wānaka local with more stories than he’s had hot dinners! With a working life in horticulture then running guided fishing trips on Lake Wānaka to enjoying life sharing all his local knowledge with our guests. We love Davy … you will too!

Proud to be supporting through those chilly winter months. Along with our trapping programme on West Wānaka Station we look after a trapline here along Cameron Creek. Thanks to nearby for providing salmon offcuts for bait. Great to be giving back to our place.

Fantastic visit from these young Kea on our Wild Hills Safari today. They are the worlds only alpine parrot living solely in the mountains of New Zealand's South Island. There are only 5000 of these incredible birds left in the wild. Hopefully this is a sign that our trapping programme we've been running for the past 7 years up here is working...

How do these office views look to you? We take guests from all over the world well off the beaten track with private access through West Wanaka and Lake Hawea’s Dingleburn Stations.

We are looking for drivers to join our amazing team for full time, part time and casual work through to May (and ideally next summer and beyond!)

Drivers need a current P endorsement, First Aid certificate and a love for conservation, the outdoors and story telling. Farming knowledge is an advantage but not essential.

It’s Bambi time on our Wild Hills Safari …. How many can you count ?

It was all go on our Wild Hills Safari today from our spectacular alpine cafe to swimming in the lake, horses. 4 hrs of pure Wānaka nature at its best…. Great to see @wanakahorsetrekking along the way too!!

Free trip if you correctly count the number of sheep we saw today ….

Eeeeeeeeeee ……yes! More happy guests enjoying coffee at one of our many alpine cafes !!

Are we winning the battle for our birds?? We’ve had 3 kea visits in as many days on our Wild Hills Safari …. Fantastic!
