Criffel Station Woolshed, Specalized Central Otago Weddings and Events

Events and weddings are the social heart of Criffel Station, a 2000 hectare commercial breeding and finishing farm of predominately red deer. Located close to Lake Wanaka’s town centre, the Station provides expansive views of the surrounding mountain range creating a stunning backdrop for a memorable Central Otago experience.

Managed with a focus on providing a balanced and healthy environment for its people, land and animals, Criffel Station has three amazing venues. They include the Woolshed which has been lovingly converted into an events venue as part of the ongoing development and enjoyment of the historic property; Stone Hut Terraces with magical views overlooking the Upper Clutha basin and the beautifully cared for 100 year old Homestead. The venues, are a relatively “blank canvas”, are incredibly versatile and suitable for everything from corporate events to memorable high country Wanaka weddings.

Natural Beauty Meets Rustic Charm

Criffel Station is a 2000 hectare commercial breeding and finishing farm of predominately red deer. Located close to Lake Wanaka's town centre, the Wanaka airport and Queenstown, providing easy access, the Station gives a sense of getting away from it all. Expansive views and the surrounding mountain ranges provide a stunning backdrop for a memorable trip to Criffel Station Woolshed, the Homestead or Stone Hut Terraces.

Criffel Station is managed with a focus on providing a balanced and healthy environment for its people, land and animals. Sustainable development for future generations and allowing ongoing enhancement and enjoyment of the property by those who live here and our guests.

The Woolshed was developed as our first event location with half of the working woolshed lovingly converted into an events venue as part of ongoing development and enjoyment of the historic property. This history and the charm and feel of an old rustic Woolshed has been retained, as materials from around the station have been recycled back in to the space. Yet the venue, as a relatively "blank canvas", is incredibly versatile and suitable for everything from corporate events to memorable high country Wanaka weddings.
