Sure is summery here in Wānaka today (crowds are a little manic so it’s time for the beach!) Here’s a bit of Christmas cheer from my photography business. (Watch: ‘cos soon there will be new framed prints up at Wānaka house).

The skiing and winter hikes are all time great at Wānaka - more snow in forecast. Getting in a last day today before guests arrive for usual school holiday family trips.

Yes! Winter is here! Cardrona opens Saturday and there's more snow in the forecast.

Wānaka house has openings for most of the rest of June (only Matariki weekend is booked) right up to mid July (including week one of school holidays). Plenty of openings in September too as I've only just opened the dates up. Message me if you're keen to stay.

Pic is view from Mt Cardona peak, that hike up is tough but those views and the ski down are superb.

Exciting news from Cardies "Willow's is back open! Opening for the first time yesterday, it's made a lot of people super stoked. Please remember that Willow's is currently ungroomed, so it's suitable for advanced skiers and snowboarders only."

Go to Wānaka for the snow, the sun, the waves, the mountains and the people - here's some pre-snow mountain shots to inspire.

Watch this space because excitingly, for the first time in ages, we will take winter bookings. We will open up ski season dates in a few weeks one I have finalised a new cleaner.

In other news, we have a new side/back fence is going in - when we manage to get the materials (which whilst planned for April may still be in a while away)
