Why is there no bridge between India and Sri Lanka?🌉

Have you ever wondered why there’s no bridge connecting India and Sri Lanka, despite being “just” 32km apart?

The answer lies in a mix of geographical, ecological, and cultural factors. The shallow waters of the Palk Strait and the fragile Adam’s Bridge (or Rama’s Bridge) make construction challenging. Plus, the area holds deep religious and cultural significance, which adds to the complexity...

There’s also the question of environmental impact. This region is a marine biodiversity hotspot, and building a bridge could disrupt delicate ecosystems.
While the idea of a bridge sounds exciting - and would make travel between the countries so much easier, perhaps this natural separation is part of the charm that makes each destination unique. 🌊✨
