Aonghus, Geeves Scaffolding Nelson's site supervisor, proudly watched the first water flow over the Waimea Community Dam's spillway last weekend. Through a partnership with Taki Rua, Geeves Scaffolding Wellington has constructed the scaffolding for the 'Hatupatu | Kurungaituku: A Forbidden Love' show, which will embark on a nationwide tour in early 2024. While the scaffolding design and ex*****on presented unique challenges, we have successfully completed the first one and eagerly anticipate the next four.

We were really happy to contribute to the recent Knight MMA Colosseum Fight Night in Timaru. We built the scaffolding for the stage that held the cage, and we're stoked to have been a part of such a successful event!

Meet Cristy "Wattie" Watkins, a valued member of the Geeves Scaffolding Otago family in Dunedin.
With an impressive 2 and a half years of dedicated service, Wattie has seamlessly transitioned from project to project and even a yard switch. Last year, she achieved a significant milestone by attaining her trade qualification, which is an awesome accomplishment! On any given weekday, you'll find her on various sites across Otago, providing top-notch access solutions to our clients.
Beyond the scaffolding world, Wattie is a passionate rugby enthusiast, dedicating her weekends to volunteer work and administrative roles. As a committee member at Pirates Rugby Club, she managed both the Zingaree Premiers and Otago Maori Colts this year, all while actively supporting the Pirates junior club.
If you happen to spot Wattie onsite, be sure to give her a friendly hello!

Geeves Wellington is hard at work refurbishing Kelvin House on the Terrace in Wellington’s CBD. The team has erected façade scaffolding and a catch fan net as a secondary measure to protect against falling objects. The catch fan is a very strong, 3-layered mesh designed to be strong enough to catch large objects, as well as smaller debris that could squeeze through gaps in the platform during remedial works. The refurbishment of Kelvin House is a two-stage project. The team is currently working on stage one, stage two will involve installing a rolling roof, which will enable the temporary roof to be built without the use of a crane, which would block off the busy streets below.
