Tiffany Collette’s artwork was kindly donated to this year’s Auction. Her work has quite a distinctive style that we are loving, so we thought you would all like a bit of history about Tiffany Collette.
"I began my art journey when I was in Year 13, 2002. It was the time in my life when I learnt how to do art and the school's art classes were something I really enjoyed, and continued throughout all my school years to focus on art and the creation of my pieces.
The next place where I created more art was Sandz Gallery. Over seven years I had an art mentor. Being in the art world my art mentor supported me to build up a portfolio of art and assisted me to gain art skills. I learnt about colour theory, colour wheels and how to mix paints in a better way.
One day I went in to paint what I thought was an undo-able idea so I asked my mentor whether I could paint bands and musicians and she took me under her wing and guided me gave me her time."

And look what was painted. An awesome tribute to some great musicians. We wish you all the best Tiffany. Happy panting.

This very socially conscious and relevant artwork has very kindly being donated by Michel Tuffery for
this years auction!
Michel Tuffery is a New Zealand-based artist of Samoan, Rarotongan and Ma’ohi Tahitian heritage.
His art practice is diverse, ranging from sculpture to performance art to etchings. Within his art
practice he plays the role of working “in between” people and places, and focusing a fresh lens on
environmental, community, cultural and art historical divides.
Thank you Nurse Jenny Aotearoa is from Tuffery’s ‘Handle with Care’ series, in which the beginning
point was in the early stages of Covid19 and encouraging people to think about the elderly in their
community and the role we all play, and mostly our health practioners and many champion
“frontline workers”.
