Falkirk. On the afternoon we arrive in Edinburgh, we take a short diversion to the industrial town of Falkirk. Here we visit two attractions that are included in your 'Ultimate' Tour in 2025.

First, The Kelpie Statues. A remarkable outdoor park featuring a pair of 40 meter high horses heads. The museum beside the statues is excellent and tells the story of why, when and who created these structures.

Second, we take a 10 min across Town ride to ride the Falkirk Wheel. This stunning piece if engineering lifts Canal boats, two at a time using the power to boil a kettle!

Both of these attractions are highly recommended to get a greater understanding of this area during and after the industrial revolution.

The Royal Military Edinburgh Tattoo. This event is included in your "Ultimate" Tour.

We've now taken 6 of our tour groups to the Tattoo and every one of them has been different from the past.

It's not a great photo, but the special guest of honour at last year's event was non other than Formula One racing great Sir Jackie Stewart, donning the lovely pink tartan trousers!

Farm Shops. These have seen huge growth all across the United Kingdom. We were so impressed with some we saw, we've decided to add a few to our 2025 tours.

Most work on the idea of most fresh produce coming from within 30 miles of the store. Although they do add foreign produce to their offerings as well.

Some combine, country clothing, garden centers, etc. The great thing about these stores is that you can buy a 'single serve' of almost every food item, so they're a good place to trial local foods at economical prices.

History. We love taking history buffs to the UK. You can learn something every day just by wandering around. York is brilliant for this, as there's so much history in this ancient city and its all so accessible, as 95% is within the walls of the city.

We have 3 or 4 nights here, depending on the tour you wish to go on.

We include entry to the Jorvik (Viking) Center and the stunning Yorkminster. The countries National Rail Museum is also here in York (and acknowledged as the world's best Train museum). Best of all, entry is free!

Tour Tip. York is the UK's #1 tourist destination, outside London, so it's busy all year round.

In 2023, we chose Jersey Boys as our, end of tour, West End Show. We only tell tour members what they are going to see a few days before showtime!

It was a great choice! Fast paced, great story-telling and the best soundtrack ever!!

Some of our tour members had seen this show in NZ and Australia, but were genuinely impressed with The West End production. The guy who played Frankie Valli was truly amazing! World class!

I wonder what grest show we'll take you to in 2025?
