PSA📣📣📣📣

We were all set to kick off our popular Upokongaro Stop over trips this Sunday for our summer season, Unfortunately, works on the Upokongaro Wharf have taken longer to get underway that anticipated, we've decided to hit pause and defer the start of these trips until January.

This also means we cannot offer our exciting new Pedal and Boat experience and effects our ability to pick up cyclists on the Mountains to Sea trail.

If you’ve booked an Upokongaro Stopover trip with us, don’t worry—our team will be in touch over the next day or two to sort everything out.

Thanks for your patience as we gear up for an awesome summer here in Whanganui.

We're making essential repairs on the Upokongaro and Hipango Park jetties to make them safe and ready for summer!🌞🚤

These areas will be inaccessible until late December while repairs are being carried out. For safety reasons please avoid these construction zones for the next 2-3 weeks.

We appreciate your patience as we work to get these areas ready and open for everyone to enjoy this summer!

🌊 Notice: In light of the rāhui placed on the Whanganui River for the next 3 days, our beloved old girl will be resting for the weekend, with no sailings taking place. We appreciate your understanding and respect for this important practice. 🌿

A rāhui serves as a mark of respect for the person, offering time for spiritual cleansing and healing for the community.

While PS Waimarie is out braving the rain, the resident wildlife are having a ducking good time. 🦆🦆🦆

If there's rain on the horizon, don't let that stop you from enjoying a cruise with us, more often than not the Awa is just as beautiful with the rain tapping away as it is with the sun out.

Let us introduce you to another collaboration with a local producer Derelict Coffee

CIRCA 1900 - a coffee blend that's been crafted to honor more of the story of a journey 125 years in the making. This is something full bodied and timeless. Smokey subtleties of yesterday, with the sweetness and complexity we expect of modern-day specialty coffee.

If you have visited our coffee bar Ngaporo lately you might have heard about Circa 1900 and how our pal over at Derelict Coffee crafted it as a signature blend for us.
This blend is served primarily on-board PS Waimarie and will be the to go coffee on the bar throughout January.

For each bag sold, $1 goes back into directly supporting the deck replacement on PS Waimarie - If you want to get your hot little hands on a bag to have at home, you can get it from👇

Here at the Riverboat Centre
or

We might be a tad biased but this blend is 👌👌👌👌

Experience New Zealand’s only coal fired paddle steamer.

Undoubtedly the most authentic way to experience Whanganui River’s scenery and history. October to May we provide regular cruises and charters aboard the iconic Paddle Steamer Waimarie, New Zealand’s only coal fired paddle steamer still in operation on the same river she operated almost 120 years ago.

After your cruise you can also uncover river memorabilia at the Riverboat Museum adjacent to the Waimarie jetty.
