Following the decision to keep hens comes questions about how to house them and what kind of lifestyle they will live.

One of these questions is how do hens like to sleep? Well their instinctual behavior is to fluff themselves up and balance on perches. They also like to huddle together. This is known as roosting.

Not all hens get to roost but we made sure Henpecked Cottage has roosting perches.
