It may not be for everyone but camel meat has long been one of Oman’s traditional proteins and remains popular today in recipes like qabuli.

For centuries it has been considered as a treat therefore a part of special occasions such as weddings. Today due to higher availability and lower prices, camel meat seems to be a part of daily life of many families.

Camel meat is healthier because it contains less fat and has lower levels of cholesterol in the fat than other meat animals. On top of that it has a ruch taste.

Visit Salalah to get the chance to experience first taste of it traditionally prepared over hot burning charcoal. Just the way we love the most 🤤
